mac osx 10.2.28 .rar troubles

hi ive downloaded some .rar files supposed to be movie files and i cant decompress/extract them. ive used many apps and im not having any luck at all. one program makes a file like it decompressed the .rar file but its empty. plz can someone help

Maybe your .rar files are corrupt.

it might be but ive downloaded more than one from other sites and doesnt work for any. my stuffit just says error and i cant find a third party .rar extract app to work with 10.2.8 and if they do it wont extract. im just curious to know if anyone has 10.2.8 that has a app that works. thx for the reply by the way
