Hi, I always am able to find some kind of help on this website whenever i troubleshoot problems or issues i'm having. But now, i'm having one that actually caused me to register :p

I'm running an intel macbook pro 15' with bootcamp and xp sp2.
I also have the NTFS-3G read/write driver installed on my osx side

Now to my problem. After shutting down xp and attempting to boot into osx, i am getting a constant apple logo with the working gear, sometimes proceeding to a blue screen and an intermittant working gear. I've looked around on this site for some solutions and I'm really afraid that i have contracted a virus on my windows side which has bled over to my mac side because of my NTFS-3G read/write driver.

If this is the case, is there ANY way i can fix such a problem? I've tried booting into safe mode on osx with similar blue screen results.

I am really really confused and frusturated.

I can log into my Windows side alright, scanned with Avast! and found nothing. Yet I can't seem to get ANY response when I startup OSX.

NTFS-3G is an OS X program, not used by Windows, so Windows doesn't have access to the OS X partition. It doesn't even know it exists.

Try booting from the system DVD and verifying the OS X install with Disk Utility. Verify permissions AND the disk itself with Disk Utility.

I just got my install disks back from my friend, tried what you said and i'm still seeing similar results :/

I've tried safe booting to nothing but a white logo screen and a progress indicator for 15-20 minutes before i restart it out of frustration again.

Any last minute advice before a reinstall?
:/
