I formatted my drive and tried installing OSX(im using 10.4 btw) and when it comes to disc 2, i always get an error at "Installing Garage Band Instruments" around 60% and it asks me to try to install again. I tried for about 6 times already.

Is there a way to restart installing from disc one? Everytime i restart my MBP it comes to the screen asking for disc 2. I have no idea what to do.

thanks.

Sounds like perhaps you have a bad disc. When going through the install process, select the customize button and then deselect the iLife apps and the assorted extras that go with it. I'd install just the minimum base system and then use pacifist to install iLife. If you do have a bad disk, pacifist will fail but you'll have a fully functioning system.
