mac osx upgrade for ibook g4

i have an ibook g4 and i need to upgrade my osx. i currently have version 10.3.9 powerpc and i keep seeing info saying my system is not compatable. what can i use to upgrade?

depending on the specs of your machine it should be able to run osx 10.5, it wont run 10.6 because it's PPC architecture not intel, click on the apple button top left corner of your screen and hit about this Mac, depending on the ram installed it might be better to install 10.4 unless your willing to upgrade

I would iUpgrade that iBook ^_^
Get yourself a newer Macbook. =)
If you can't afford it, go mow some lawns or rob a bank. You can
pick one up used for a few hundred bones.

I can imagine that it will run Tiger just fine. Tiger runs on a G3.

i have no problems with getting a new one, this one is just still in perfect condition😉

in that case put 10.4 on there, it would run 10.5 put it would be kinda sluggish,

Because you have 10.3 on it, you probably don't have the last upgraded version of the iBook G4, so I have to agree with the above poster, put 10.4 on it. Leopard is usable on a G4, but it probably wouldn't be fast enough for you.

up a powerbook for nostalgic purposes lately! =)

if i was you id get tiger os x 10.4.x then use the software updater to update to 10.4.11. i have a g3 powerbook pismo that runs tiger perfectally.

as usual 's rule all others are crap!
