Hi all,

I was trying to import some photos into my Photos library earlier & Photos returned an error saying that it didn't have the necessary permissions to import the files.

I am administrator of my Mac & I took the photos myself, so I don't see why I don't have permissions. How should I go about fixing this?

Thank you!

Where are the files you want to import? Original SD card from camera? USB connection to camera? External HD? Different user account on the Mac? Same user account? Are you inadvertently using Guest User?

Do a Get Info on one or more of those image files and check current permissions.

Files are on the Mac's internal SSD. Same user account. Am using my Admin account, not a Guest User. Did the Get Info check, nothing suspicious there.
