Most of you will probably think this is a dumb question, and I'm sorry to trouble you with it, but I need to know. I want to recycle my old Mac Plus. I know it does not have a hard drive. Does that mean I recycle it without worrying that someone will be able to get my personal info from it?

Yes, there is nothing stored inside a Mac Plus. Unless you leave a floppy disk in the drive, I suppose.
The only way to store anything is on a floppy, or an external hard drive. Or, the possibility of a tape drive, or other kind of backup storage. But, if nothing external is included when you recycle, then it will be impossible for any data or files of any kind to be available to anyone, assuming the power is off. Even the NSA won't find anything. Be sure to clean your fingerprints off the case, too. :D

Thank you.

Instead of recycling, you probably can sell that Mac Plus on Ebay for $50. Just saying...

QuickDraw has a point.

Does the Mac Plus still boot?

If so, it's worth more as a collector's item than as a recycle item.

Even if it won't boot, someone else may still want it!
