Hello everyone, im using the Z5500 speakers with optical cable everything works fine in OS X 10.5.7, im booting into windows and here everything works ok, but if after windows i boot into mac os x its not recongnize any of the output source, nothing.
I must reboot again to see the speakers ( internal or external) does anyone have also this problem?

you want to make sure the Z5500's are plugged into the Optical OUTPUT if you want sound to channel through the speakers.

from there select Optical output on the control pod, if you dont hear any audio through the speakers instead of restarting the Mac, turn off then on the control pod...or press the optical button on the remote....(reselects the optical option)

It seems the digital line tends to "sleep" if there are no signals transferring between them, so you n eed to send a signal through it.

Happens to most people i know with the Z5500 and other optical systems.
