Mac Pro 1,1 to 2,1 upgrade

Hello all, I have upgraded my Mac Pro 2006 cpus to the 5365s and now I need to update my firmware to 2,1 I have downloaded and used the the Firmware update tool from Netkas and the loading screen with the bar comes up for a split second then the Mac restarts itself. I have seen other threads where holding the button longer works for them but it does not work for me. I am not sure what is going on and all of my research has turned up nothing as to how to solve this issue. Any thought?

What's the OS version you are trying to update the firmware from? Maybe you have to try from Lion or disable SIP.

Thank you for the quick response. I forgot to mention that I am using Lion. And my boot rom number is MP11.005D.B00 Mac version is 1.7f10

Ok, seems like an intermediate firmware used on some replacement boards. This post at netkas has a solution.

Thank you very much took me about 30 seconds to upgrade after your post. I guess I should have searched my boot rom version and I probably would have found it sorry bout that.
