Hi All

I have a mac pro 2009, 8 core, upgraded to 12 core, flashed from 4.1 to 5.1, 32 gb ram, OS sierra on Pcie-ssd samsung. The upgrade was done by professionals.

The computer have motu 424 pcie card, uad2 pcie card, 5770 grafik cart.

The computer was running smooth, until yesterday.

Now the screen look like this.

I have taken all out of the computer: ram, HD, pcie-cards, grafik cards, usb keyboard, mouse.

Only the power plug are back.

When I start in this mode, I should get 3 error beeb´s and the power LCD should flashing, and the red flash on cpu board. I get the red light, but no white flashing from power LCD and no error beeb´s.

What can I do, and what is wrong with my computer ??????????

Nice day to you all.

Jesper

Did you tried to zap-PRAM? Did you checked if you can boot from another disk? If you remove all disks from your Mac Pro, do you get the no disk (/) screen?

Hello tsialex
I have tried: zap pram, start from another disk, start from save mode, change ram position. The same screen.
then I used only one ram stick in number one, and here I only get black screen and no start up sound. I tried this with all eight ram sticks.
Then I tried to put all things out as describe in the first post.

Thanks for your reply

Jesper

Did you used this diagram? Just one memory on CPU A slot 1?

Did you tried to remove processor B? Tried to replace A for B?

Hi
Yes, CPU A Slot 1. Only black screen. with all 4 ram sticks in CPU A slot, I got black screen.
If I put all 4 ram sticks in CPU B slot to (8 total) I got the screen you can see on the picture.

No I have no tried to swap the CPU´s.

Seems your problem is Xeon A, remove it and install Xeon B in the CPU socket A.

With only one Xeon on a Dual tray, all the fans will run at the maximum RPM, but you can use your Mac Pro.

If your Mac Pro works with just one CPU, next try add the old Xeon A on the CPU socket B.
