Mac Pro 2009 or 2010 supports 128gb ram?

    I want to know this ram samsung DDR3 16G PC3-12800 ECC/REG LP x8 it works or not.

    Anyone tested this performance on mac pro 2009 or 2010~2012??

    I always check on https://www.macsales.com/ what exact model I have, so I know what guaranteed max ram proven to work, I can put in there.

    thx for reply!! but i just know !12800! 16g ram ecc on 2010~2012 mac works or not. In Macsales site i can see 10600 and 8600 supproted max to the 128gb. but i'd hear someone fits 12800 on 2010 mac pro. and it works! but max to the 128gb?? no issue for that.

    thx!! i will try 128gb on upgraded 2009 to 2010 max to 128gb ram! with x5980 westmere!

    Just some extra info for you, if you want them all run at 1333MHz, make sure the stick ranking is 2Rx4.

    Anyway, the 2009 model alsmot accept any DDR 3 RAM that can fit the slot, the difference is just speed, size, and ECC.
