Mac Pro 2010 - Upgrading Ram

Presently just got 2010 Mac pro QC 2.8 SC

If i upgrade the RAM Now - will upgrading the processor to hexacore (3.3GHZ) affect the RAM? Ie would i need to put new / different ram in ?

I read somewhere it would affect the ram if upgrading the processor from QC - Hexa
