yeah, over at netkas' forum they've discussed how well the apple 5870 rom works for flashing.

aaaand... it doesn't. 🙄

so they've reverted to the 5770 efi rom from the imac, and simply made some changes to get it working on a 5870, albeit with no 1,1 or 2,1 support... yet.

ROM works fine... in the Apple card. No success in PC cards yet, even for those that have the necessary space. I hope Netkas et al. will manage this, or else we won't be able to flash cards for 1.1 Mac Pros. 🙁
