I have a mac pro with two 24" cinema displays attached by mini display port and 2 USB cables.

When I run iTunes I can only get sound from one display. In preferences>sound both show up as USB display by there is only the option to select one screen. I wondered if anyone know of a workaround to have the speakers working in both displays at the same time

I'm not at a Mac right now to test the principle out, but maybe if you create a new Audio Device using MIDI Setup that outputs to both displays, it might work.

Looks like a good idea in theory. Could you give me some more pointers as to how this could be done. I have both the display audios showing as 1in and 2out.

    Thanks

I think he'd better get a sound system that improves the current situation, unless you mean very low frequencies ;)

But you're right, get a decent sound system, it's worth it.

I wondered the same then realised the speakers are quite terrible so bought a set of Harmon Kardon Soundsticks. Fit in very well with the black bezel on the ACD and it's nice to get some desk-shaking bass!

New speakers are not really what I need. I have a B&W home cinema set up at the other end of the room which I access with an ATV which works fine but sometimes when working I would like the sound in front of me rather than behind hence trying to use the built in speakers.

I am keen to understand more about the Audio Midi Set Up if someone can help me.
