Thank you for the response, I appreciate it. So if I want to continue using the latest OS with OCLP, i'm going to have to live with just getting audio through my internal speakers then. The processors are not compatible: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/strange-audio-issue-on-mp-4-1-5-1-mojave-10-14-4.2176792/
Edit: this is for stuttering sound, but as soon you find out, that you need to set sound output accordingly, you will hear the sound is not stable.
no, You should adjust that with the pref pane. This is german, but you will find it by comparing the lines:Thank you for the response, I appreciate it. So if I want to continue using the latest OS with OCLP, i'm going to have to live with just getting audio through my internal speakers then.

set it to line out.
The issue is that those old Xeon processors of MP41 are not fully compatible with newer MacOs versions. They tend to produce stuttering sound, even with external sound processors.
Interesting, so I plugged in the line out to my jambox and it works 👍👍. Yet when I plug the line out to my monitor (Asus MX299) it doesn't work nor does audio through the HDMI that is connected to the monitor. I guess I need to troubleshoot my monitor even though it worked with previous OS with soundcontrol.hook a headphone to line out, set volume to 100% and double test
HDMI sound is another topic, what needs more fiddling. For analog sound your display should have a setting in its menu to activate.Interesting, so I plugged in the line out to my jambox and it works 👍👍. Thank you again.
Correct and I set the display to line-in audio and get nothing unfortunately.HDMI sound is another topic, what needs more fiddling. For analog sound your display should have a setting in its menu to activate.
