I recently bought a 5770 for my bootscreen but i am not sure it would work with my MSI GTX 1080 AERO OC so im here. By the way, the 5770 i have is not mac edition, it is MSI Hawk 1 GB version.

What OS are you running?
I use a Windows 10 in a ssd. I don't have MacOS installed because i bought the Mac with GTX 1080 and I haven't flashed or done anything yet. When I flash the 5770 I'll install MacOS to a ssd and dualboot them.

If it's not a Mac Edition card, it won't show you the boot screen until you flash it.

Anyway, the GTX1080 should have UEGI GOP, you may simply flash the 5,1 with EnableGop, then your GTX1080 will able to show you the native boot screen.

And GTX1080 will allow you to run High Sierra natively (same as the 5770). So, IMO, there is no need to install the 5770. Unless you want to go for Mojave or newer macOS, then you need to run a patched OS with the 5770. But in this case, using something like RX460 make more sense (because of having Metal support, and no need to patch any system files up to Monterey).

You can, but in general, it's easier to flash the cMP. And you only need to flash the cMP once, then all generic PC graphic card that has UEFI GOP (almost all modern graphic has this from factory) can display boot screen on the cMP.

By the way do you have the flash files for both MSI HAWK 5770 and GTX 1080? For my specific card? Or how could I get it?

How the heck do i do that thing?? I don't know anything about ROM's
You may learn how to do it. This is what I did.

EnableGop is tested can work with Pascal GPU. The link above has all the info about how to make it work. But if you prefer not to follow the main stream (flash the cMP), but make your own ROM to flash the card. I completely respect your decision. However, it is expected to have less guidance to follow.

If you know how to flash the card, meaning use NVflash, you can give the file in the archive attached a shot.

Chip needs to be at least 512k. But it should as the card's stock Rom is larger than 256 anyway.
