That's one expensive gaming rig.

You should see the cost of a Dell Alienware gaming rig here in Australia, Mac Pro is very reasonable by comparison. Thats one reason I'm not considering PC and most of the games I play are already on OSX (Thanks Blizzard) or being ported to OSX and made free on Steam if you own the PC version. So the amount of time I'm spending in Windows is less and less.

oh I forgot, they got that once, 3 years ago? And it won't happen with SB. Why? because SB will release before it is time to release a new Mac Pro.
The LGA1155 consumer parts, Yes.

But they'll need to use LGA2011, and won't be out until ~ a year later (update will center on the release + time needed to get the system out). And lately (2009 & 2010 systems), that's taken longer than other vendors. The time between the 2010 and 2011's will be over 500 days between releases (based on dates off of Intel's Roadmap of SB LGA2011 parts).

Unfortunately, Australia tends to get nailed on pricing, taxes, and shipping as I understand it. :(
