I want to see where my Mac Pro really stacks up against others. I ran the photoshop test, but are there any real Benchmarking programs for the Mac that I can run, preferably ones that other people here have run so I can compare?

Is there a thread buried somewhere with benchmarking results, that isn't the photoshop thread? How do we KNOW our machines are fast?

they were the 'good old days'

before the net , before tech specs took over

when a second saved on a filemaker pro sort was a thing of infinite beauty

plus the graphs were awfully purdy

5108 on Geekbench from a restart, I didn't close any of my background apps like dashboard or chronosync.

That's right around all the other 2.66 Mac Pros on the site, although now I really see how much faster the 8 core is, wow.
