Sept 1 I ordered a Mac Pro Quad 3.0 CTO. Scheduled ship with Holiday, Sept 11, Overnite Delivery for Sept 12. Verified with Apple Sales Rep at the Apple Store Last nigt Sept 11, at 4pm PST. He put me on hold, verified that it was in shipping and was in Fed Ex hands once it left, but is scheduled for delivery today. WELL... 7am this morning, Apple Store is down due to "It's Showtime". Call Apple Store, in 8 hrs time, it went from being in shipping to DELAYED until Estimated Ship Date of Sept 18. No one at Apple can give me a reason other than an apology. Did my Mac Pro fall off the loading ramp? The Manager on Duty told me they sent out emails to all customers about the delay... Didn't receive mine, stating that there was an unexpected delay? Can anyone confirm what the delay may be? I have NEVER EVER had Apple miss a ship date, this is very unusual.
