Mac Pro for iMac?

So I've got the 2008 8-core 2.8 MacPro w/6GB RAM.

Should I sell up and get a new 2011 27" iMac.

I'm a full time photographer so I'd say my most intensive apps are Aperture and Photoshop.

Suggestions, help, advice, persuasion welcome! 🙂

If you want to upgrade lol. I have a MBP and its plenty for my needs and I too am a photographer.

I see no reason to do that. Perhaps more RAM would be welcome, but your computer is perfectly capable of anything PS could throw at it.

You would probably benefit most by having a SSD as the boot drive on your MP. Then set up two drives for data in RAID 0.

Thanks for the replies. I might just put some money into an SSD and some more RAM.
