I've had bad experiences with WD drives in general.
However, the new Western Digital SATA drives are very good, If you can, get the RAID edition drives with 5 year warranty.
I have a Hitachi 80 gig for my system/boot drive. Works very well for me. Only 80 gigs because this is the system only drive, all my other stuff goes on the other hard drive. Backups to my G4.
