Mac Pro makes whirring sound waking up from sleep

Anyone else notice a very soft clicking/whirring sound when the machine wakes from sleeping? It sounds like a harddrive head being moved.

However, I was under the impression the drives were all solid state. I personally cannot imagine any moving parts in there..

Any ideas where this is coming from?

You sure? To be clear, its not happening 98% of the time the machine is on.

Only happens when starting up from wake (and maybe from cold boot --not sure on that one though).

The machine does have a fan.

I guess, since it didn't sound like a fan, I excluded it as a possibility....

So yeah, now I'm thinking it's probably that.
