Ok heres the scoop. I have a new Mac Pro 2.66 quad and the hard drive that came with the system is a Western Digital WD2500AAJS and, it just so happens that, I have purchased 3 Western Digital WD2500JS's, with out knowing that I would have gotten a similar model with the system.

So, I am wondering if it would be ok to use the standard WD2500AAJS with the very similar WD2500JS's I have, in a mirrored raid configuration?

    Thoughts?

    Can't spell apple :p

It should not matter what disks you use in RAID configs as long as you understand the array will only ever be as large as the smallest disk so if capacity is the same with the two models you mentioned then all should be good.

Thanks, I was just checking because I heard it was best to have identical drives for doing RAID.
