Now is this why your current MacPro is dead? Or did something else happen to it?

Yeah, that is my current one. The PSU and/or Mobo gave out on it and it refused to boot. A short or something keeps shutting off power when it tries to power on. I have been able to figure out enough that it wasn't my CPU upgrades that caused it to fail, but rather something that happened over time which I just thought were OS bugs.

Now, the downside is that because of the money spent in upgrades, selling the old one for parts, and then buying a new one is actually cheaper than getting it repaired by a shop. And while I have the tools to do a repair myself, I don't have the spare parts, or the tools to nail down which component failed. So, seeing as the difference between a repair and a new machine is about tax, I ordered a Harpertown which just arrived maybe 30 minutes ago.
