I'm so glad I got my 3.2 at the $2799 price. What a helluva deal that was! This machine is smokin'.

I'm glad someone got one! I wish they had more!! I'm sure you'll be enjoying that bad boy for some time!

Just don't think too hard if it does, as you'll miss out. Again.

Yeah, I'm my own worst enemy! Luckily Gary at PowerMax has been helpful, he told me today their buyer is looking for more but no luck so far. We at least know there is still stock (Apple's still trying to pawn them off at 3799 ).

I hope they can con Apple into parting with some more, and you get to snag one.

I've pretty much pestered any Apple re-seller that may have some in stock, but nothing yet. The search continues!

It should come as a surprise to no one (except me ) that the 08 overstock didn't last long

There are still 3.2 octos around. B&H still has new ones for sale here

And that's the price you'll find most of them selling for (or $3799). That's what made the Powermax deal so freakishly good. When I first saw it, I thought they screwed up and posted it for $1000 less than what there were supposed to be selling it for (which they may have done). That's why I jumped all over it. When I first ordered by website, they didn't even have them in-stock yet. So I called the next day, and I got lucky...they had just arrived, and I got the first one.

It's still cheaper than the 2.93 Octo '09, by a substantial margin. I saw one in the refurb section a few days ago @ $4999USD.

$1300USD goes a long way for upgrades. At worst, a good RAID setup.
Figure the cost of a new one, and you'd throw in some memory and a better graphics card I think.
