If you play games then definitely go for the 5870 before a CPU upgrade. Um, to be completely honest, the 2.66--->3.33 upgrade gave only a small apparent speed increase. Right now I'm looking at the 5870 as well, or maybe the cheaper 5770 as I don't game very often. I'm also looking at an older GTX 285 as I read on the web that the GTX 285 may help Aperture render RAW files faster (something to do with OpenCL/CUDA performance, whatever that means). Sigh, I'll probably just get the cheapest upgrade for the GT120.
