This seller is selling item(s) he does not want to ship out to buyer.

The conversation migrated to general cMP buying advice and another seller, to be clear to everyone. The scam seller discussed originally is NOT the same as the one currently discussed. If you want to post the previous one's links, you can do so.

Issue with the second "new" one I found...tried to checkout but Paypal option not showing up. Thought it was my fault but seller claims they are not using Paypal and "working with another provider"?

The seller (maccompusave) feedback I assumed could be trusted but could those be faked? I do not think all of them paid through external means and not Paypal. He constantly would get angry in long messages about not coming down on his high prices even a tiny bit due to some kind of custom "warranty" that I do not even want, and constantly tried getting me on the phone, which I now see is where he wants to conduct the transaction, taking credit card details and all. He does not speak good English despite being in Florida and later revealed possibly Spanish, may not even be in America.

Wondering what you guys think. ANOTHER scammer, huh?

Finding a new cMP is really a nightmare! All I was one that had a long lifespan and performance (new) but may have to settle with used and abused one now...I'd just get a bucket brand new but oh noooo, Apple won't allow 10.6 to run on that.

When buying from Ebay, I always make sure they accept PayPal. The reason is that PayPal has a pretty good track record of protecting buyers from scammers.
Yes. It seems like the scammer I talked about in my last post only talked about a "warranty" (his own custom one mind you) to give an excuse to bypass Paypal, trying to assure dumb buyers it's better. You simply call him and hand over your details via phone, it's "just like Best Buy"! His words.

I added in details about the 2 known scammers selling supposed "new" cMPs (if only that was the only thing they were shaady about...there's much more as mentioned.)

If anyone happens to actually find legit new 2010 or 2012 5,1 Mac Pros, then please send me a message! I won't hold my breath, though. A good used one is the only route in 2015. A shame that the bucket 6,1 and future are so locked down (OS options, legacy software, etc( and hardware options) and that is the only choice anymore for people who want a shiny new high end Mac.
