Mac Pro serial number not found

Hey everyone,

I was trying to check when my apple care warranty started on my mac pro through Apple's warranty checker and it tells me it can't locate my serial number. Anyone ever been through this situation?

How are you finding your serial? Off your box or did you go to About this mac and so forth?

Checking it through System Profiler and also on the back of the machine.

And Apple is saying it cannot find your serial? At this site right?

That can occasionally happen if for whatever reason the purchase date is missing. If you purchased it from a Apple retail location/online it may be possible for them to pull the date of it, otherwise you may need to pay a visit to the reseller if they're still in business and inquiry a proof of purchase from their records.
