Mac Pro settings for FCS

New mac pro with 3 Hd's 1 250 for system and 2x500gb for storage. Should i RAID them , if so should it software raid or buy a card.

I came from 4xg4 where i had everything software raid. The performance was pretty amazing. Any thoughts on this?
 
Depends on what kind of video material you will be editing.

DV is satisfied with no RAID, HDV too.
