ok this is weird... on my mac pro my system drive does not show up on the desktop, it is also gone from the finder sidepane. It works fine, as I can see it in disk utility and also when I navigate around my user folder, not to mention I'm booting from it just fine, but I need to get to the root of it and I can't. also, my two other internal drives show up just fine, I have harddrive icons turned on in the finder prefs so that isn't it. I ran permissions, I ran a maintenance program. any other ideas?
