Mac Pro to replace iMac

Now don't get me wrong .... I love the iMac, and would not be considering a change if not for an Act of God crippling my mid-2011 27" i7 CPU iMac.

Most of what I do ..... tons of photo editing ..... mild video editing (4k) ..... and generic office type apps.

I am NOT a gamer .... at least not in the sense most people think.

I can walk in and pick up the Mac Pro for $1,000 out of pocket as the Insurance company allowed me a little over $2,00 for the Mid-2011 iMac.

It'll be a nice upgrade from your 2011 iMac. Throw an eGPU at it if you decide you want to game heavily. Don't forget to factor in the cost of a monitor (unless you're keeping the 2011 and maybe target screen mode is supported / working).

Not sure what I am going to do ...... keep plugging away on the crippled iMac with enhance backing up along the way hoping it doesn't die until next year!
