mac pro torn on but no display

Hi : any one have an idea about what can i do if my mac pro torn on (everything sounds good ) but the display is black and the keyboard doesn't respond .
days ago i torn the computer on and the first time the display remain black ,
and then torn it on again and it was working fine ; but two days ago the display don't show any signal ; i connect my macbook pro to the display an works fine .
i think my video card is dead .

Well there's not much you can do without another video card to test it. Not sure what we can do to help.

You could try re-seating the video card... pull it out and put it back in firmly?

I would also check the cable for proper seating at the graphics card.

My Video Card Enthusiast status had me seeing "Screen Tearing" as in what happens without Vertical Sync in games....all depends on whats going on in the back of your mind......hmmmmm.

is the keyboard plugged into the tower or the display?
are you using a different cable with your laptop and that display?
can you use your macpro with your tv?


btw, its turn on.😎
