Just saw this as I checked my Gmail:

'Apple's New Mac Pro - store.apple.com/macpro - 8-core Intel Xeon now standard. Configure yours at the Apple Store.'

Is this a leak of the new model?

clicking through I see options for Quad core, I don't really know much about Mac Pro's, macbook and iMac user..

It's either very old (8-core was the stock model for '08 MP) or a hint of an update. Apple's adds have been misleading before too so I would still hold my horses

There is actually an identical thread like this about the same ad, but that thread was made like 6 months ago. So yes, old ad.
