Mac pulling up OLDer version of WORD file when applying for job

    This is kinda weird so I was applying for a job online I moved over my resume from my PC to mac.....

    when I view the file on the MAC it is up to date but when I apply for this job it pulls all the info from the .doc file and its all my old info from my resume maybe before it was revised.


    Does this make sense?

    I assume by apply for a job, you mean you went to a web site which had you upload your resume in doc format and displayed the contents as old stuff. If so, you probably have track changes turned on and the web site has a bug that doesn't properly convert the word file.

    I think most of these web sites also will take PDF files. So as a work-around, you can convert your resume to PDF and try again. Or maybe you can just turn off the track changes stuff.
