Mac Rumors Mobile Edition & iAds

I just noticed that Mac Rumors now has a mobile version of the site when viewed on the iPhone. I also took note that they are using Google Ads and not iAds. I thought that was a little strange. Anyone know why?

MacRumors Mobile Edition is not an application. iAds are only for apps.
