mac running slow

My Macbook Pro late 2011 is running quite slowly lately. It has about 160 mb of memory. A few months ago I replaced the hard drive. Web pages are a bit slow to load. Sometimes after I restart it it takes awhile to warm up to efficiency. Sometimes even typing is a bit slow and lags. Any ideas as to how I can get it to run more efficiently?
