I scrolled through for this... I haven't noticed an uptick in marketing, so what is it?

Sales numbers go up and down every three months. One quarter someone is up... and the next quarter they could be down.

Also... ASUS's impressive growth is on the worldwide chart. In the US they are still lumped into the "others" category.

That's probably why you didn't notice an uptick in marketing. Maybe in China and India ASUS leaned heavy into marketing. But not in the US. Who knows.

We'll have to wait for ASUS's numbers next quarter to see if this is a trend or if it's a one-off.

Like I said... quarterly numbers are fluid.

And what did ASUS do to knock it out of the park with 20% growth?

Strong branding for prebuilt PCs, laptops and PC components. Also, during GPU inflation it was significantly cheaper to buy prebuilt PC, pull the GPU and sell the remaining.

It's a YoY comparison, though.

Ah yes... my bad.

My point was... one chart doesn't tell much of a story. We'd have to go back two or three years to look for a trend. These numbers are constantly changing. The market itself is constantly changing.

ASUS grew 20% worldwide from the previous year... but will they experience similar growth this time next year?

Definitely. 2020-22 are unusual years anyway due to a certain pandemic.

We’ll see what happens next year.

I know it's anecdotal, but my sister works for Amazon at the corporate level and they switched from PCs to the new MacBook pros. Don't know if that's company wide or within her specific department, but either way that's a big change.
