Hi, I would like to know if I can get straight to the OS option without pressing option while booting up the Mac. I'm using Mountain Lion.

This is because I'm always using the clamshell mode and it's such a hassle to open the lid and press the option key every time I want to change OS X to Windows. I usually use OS X to do some works and Windows to play some games.

You could install rEFInd. It's a boot loader that will do this for you, and it has a few extra perks as well. Completely safe.

This! I've used rEFIt in the past, it worked great. rEFInd looks like its just a newer version of the same thing.

It is. rEFIt isn't being actively maintained anymore to my knowledge. That's the main reason rEFInd exists. Some dude forked rEFIt but couldn't use the same name for some reason.
