Mac Studio - how much RAM?

Another vote here for 64 GB!
Using also LrC I see at this moment (LrC 12.5) RAM usage of LrC up to 25-28 GB, independent from easy or heavy editing. I have seen other users reporting the same, but I do not know if this is temporary (bug related to AS, not optimized for AS) or will be permanent.
But independent from this observation I would always vouch for the 64 GB when planning to do image and video editing and when you plan to keep your machine for a few years.

I'm running M2Max Studio with 64 and am pleased with its performance. LR and PS will each take everything they can get. Typically LR grabs 18-20 gb.

I do think LrC and PS will use what you have, I went from a PC with 16GB to a M1 with 8GB and it seems to run OK but will bog down a bit when I get enough documents into PS or are an image with many layers.

With Mac, you can't limit your thinking to now. You must also consider ALL of the future in which you use this Mac. Any kind of "get by on..." and "for now..." mentalities should generally be set aside. You buy for the greatest need you will have for the whole life of the device. You can't even fully know that in the present so it's best guess.
Advice above is good. Generally, more RAM for those apps the better, particularly PS. I went 64GB myself while cursing the jacked pricing by the sole supplier of RAM for these things. It cost too much but I don't sweat running out of RAM and using SWAP... and expect it to keep cranking for 7+ years.
Apple does tend to do things for Black Friday. It doesn't mean you'll get a discount for this particular want though. The better option available to you right now is the refurb store, which does include "latest & greatest" Mac Studios with both 32GB and 64GB of RAM. Most people feel Apple refurb is as good as new and comes with the same warranty.
