.mac syncing 10.4 with 10.5

I have an imac running 10.4 that I originally setup all my .mac info on. Everything was syncing fine.
I now have a new macbook with 10.5 and when I try to sync I get "could not be synced due to inconsistent data." I have reset set the calendars but it did not work.

Perhaps 10.5 cannot sync with 10.4?
