Just wondering... How does everyone get money to buy there apple setup? I tend to save up all year then buy a mac at christmas time when I get the added couple hundred from my parents.

Cool to see their are some younger mac heads out there.

woo hoo!! i'm the youngest switcher here. i dare you to beat that. anyone??

Just turned fourteen less than a month ago, so I'm probably among the youngest members of this forum. But I'm not a switcher, since we've had Mac's in the house since before I was born. My first computer was an SE. Good times.

Original poster - try themacmind.com as well. That and macteens.com are probably the biggest teenage Mac websites. I believe they both have forums, where you could probably meet a lot of people.

Anyways, Feb. 24 1990.

My profile was wrong ( not anymore) and I do have a 17" pb. At the time the Ti-Book was slow (my bro didnt think pc133 ram was good) and the 12" was too small. I also saved up half the money and got an edu discount. So it was not that painful....

Don't feel bad! Your computer beats the PB G3 333MHz 128/4 GB CD-ROM I use most of the time.

Hmm. Yours barely beats mine. I have a PB G3 333 as well but upgraded to 192megs of RAM and a 20GB HD.

I know plenty of mac users (3 including me) at my school (Knox Jr. High). There's Ryan and this other kid I met, Ryan has an iMac 233 (iThink) and an iBook 900 (really sure). His brother has a TiBook 867 (really sure), which I also have. "The Other Kid" has a Powermac G4 550 (iThink) but I know it runs Halo painfully slow.

Um...I have a job, working at my parents business for 1 1/2 hours a day for 6 days a week, pays $50 bucks. I loaned the TiBook from my parents (didn't want to pay interest to Apple) I kept complaining about how my laptop has depreciated in a value lower than what I owe on it. So now its mine and I don't pay and additional cent (yeah) :D . I have been switched since May 21, 2003 9:59. But I have to admit I'm a cross platformer. :(

18 also.
...although I dunno if your still classified as a teen at that age... :(

yeah, you are. Like I said, I'm considering myself a teen still until i turn 20 in a few days.

I'm 18 as well.

I've been with Apple for soooo long. My first mac that I owned was a Mac Classic. Dang, that brings back memories.

I have an iBook 900mhz/G3 and I built an Athlon system. I need the PC to make kernel modules for a CS class that is coming up.
