Mac the Ripper quality = no good?

I have noticed when using Mac the Ripper the quality seems to be nowhere near as nice as the original... which is what I expected but not this much of a difference.

Anyone know of better apps that compare better in quality wise?

Mac The Ripper only rips the DVD doesn't it?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't apply any compression.

I agree. It does not do any compression.

ahhhh you guys are right dangit. I use popcorn to do the actual compressing... well if you guys are still reading this thread do you know anything about that?

Might have to start a new thread I guess.

why not just use Handbrake, and do it all at once?
