I have some h.264 video files saved as M4V files and they work fine. I copied them to a NAS for accessing from an Apple TV. Then I tried to access them from my Mac and a GetInfo says they are Microsoft Excel files... even though they are still .m4v extension, and I can open and play them in Quicktime if I force it to open them in Quicktime. If I just double click on them, I get an error now. Any idea how I can fix this?

In the "get info" window of one of the .mkv files change "open with" from excel to quicktime the click the change all button
