Hey, now I am still kind of new to mac and was wondering if there were any ways to like make your mac run smoother and faster. Like maybe things to do every once and a while and such.
Like for example I remember on a pc you can shorten your loading time right when you turn your comp on by going to run>msconfig and then go to startup and uncheck some applications. And also you can run like disk cleanups and disk defragmenter to name a few.
Any tips?
Thanks,
Ken

If you keep your computer on overnight, it will defrag itself. To further clean it, I suggest downloading Onyx. As for login items, this will not be as much as a problem as on a Windows. To see all your login items, go to System Preferences, Accounts, Login Items tab.

You can also go into Disk Utility and select "Repair Disc Permissions" once every few weeks or so.
