I'm planning on selling my MacBook Pro to fund a new MacBook. This is what I'd like to do:
1. Use Super Duper to create a backup of my MacBoook Pro, including my Boot Camp Partition, onto my Synology NAS.
2. Sell MacBook Pro
3. Use funds to by MacBook
4. Restore everything everything using the Super Duper Backup from the Synology NAS.

Is that going to work, or do I need to do a direct Mac to Mac file migration to move everything over? Also, will my Synology NAS work with SuperDuper? I'd prefer to sell my current MacBook Pro before buying the MacBook. I just like to have the money in hand before doing such a big purchase.

SuperDuper

You can run migration assistant on your new Mac and import your user account and applications from the superduper clone. Not sure it that will work with bootcamp partition, as I don't use bootcamp.

No Time Machine backup. I know I can use it with a non-Time Capsule NAS, but it's not officially supported and I don't want to trust my data to that.

Thanks for the info on using Migration Assistant. I think I'll go that route. If it doesn't work with my Boot Camp partition, it's not that big of a deal, I just use it for games anyways.
