Not sure if I posted in a suitable thread, but let's try. I sometimes need to just replace an audio in a video file and I haven't found any solution yet that I'd call convenient.

Last time I used QuickTime for this purpose and it was fine, except it didn't allow me to move the audio and video freely. In order to sync video with audio, I needed to create a solid black video and (in iMovie) and put it before the original video to make it match the audio timing. I'd much prefer being able to just move the video forward, but it doesn't seem to be possible in QuickTime editor.

And why didn't I just use iMovie? Because it re-renders the video. My 50 MB file ended up as... 3 GB file. No, thanks. I don't want to rerender anything, just to combine video and audio while being able to adjust when they begin to keep them in sync.

Is there any built in solution on macOS? Or 3rd party software that would allow that? Or perhaps iMovie allows to skip rerendering part?
