At last, the wait was worth it, and better than expected.
Upgrades and PRICE DROP.

To all the haters that bought recently and swore that this would never happen --- Oooops;)

I may even get a 15" now. 8 am tomorrow - here I come:D

People swarming the forums, crying about their recent purchases in 5, 4, 3, 2...

A friend of mine is goign to kill me now, he bought a Al MacBook like 2 1/2 weeks ago....

Although I havew to add, that those updates came in as a very unexpected surprise. I think no one expected SD slot, or an update of this kind right now.

I bought a refurbished unibody 2 Fridays ago and for a moment it stung BUT I needed something to replace my old Dell laptop and I'm completely happy with my purchase. Complaining when you can (a) be happy with what you have or (b) return and exchange what you just bought is pointless.

Its the nature of technology. Buy today, tomorrow its obsolete.

DEAR GOD WHAT IS GOING ON???!!! $29 FOR SNO LEO?!?!?!

God himself or his Steveness is feeling generous today.

I have to admit I was one of the naysayers. I didn't think they would announce changes to the 15" MBP's. Released in Oct and I bought early Dec. Then spec bump in March to match 17" and now bumped again in June with a price drop! Makes my 4GB RAM crippled 2.53 MBP for $2499 a kick in the pants. I did only pay $2100 for it but still.

Sweet baby jesus I waitied so my 14 days would be within the keynote time because I had a feeling there might be a slight refresh. This is a HUGE update. Not only will I get a much faster macbook with a longer battery life I will save a bunch of money too!

no seriously, does anyone know how soon the store comes back up after updates? Hours, days?

Want to get my hands on one of these babies asap

Actually, that's why I'm here. :p I ordered a 13" MacBook four days ago. :(

So you can exchange it then!

you can't look back when you buy laptops.

I got my 2.66 2 months ago. I chose this one over the 2.4 due to the 8GB limitation.

Sure, it sucks that the 3.06 high end is now 2,299 vs 2,249 (what I paid for the 2.66), but at least they're formally acknowledging the 8GB limitation!

Unless you need the ExpressCard slot. That was a dumb move, Apple!

I'm sooo glad I waited, and to those who asked the question should I wait until WWDC? Now YOU KNOW!! Price cuts is very very welcome. Wow 15" mbp for $1699 and $1999 and especially the 17" $2499. Amazing. :D:D

im gonna update after the next redesign.
great updates tho!
people cannot complain this time...
