I'm having trouble uploading files to my .Mac account. The file I'm trying to upload is a 70mb .dmg file. I'm on leopard and connect with an Airport extreme Basestation with comcast cable to the internet.

I never had problems in the past with my .Mac service, and this files is not that large. Finder just sits there and does nothing. The message in the Finder upload window reads "file closing".

I can't end the upload without having Finder lock-up and crash the entire os. Powerbutton shut-down is the only thing that helps.

Any suggestions?

nobody here has any trouble uploading data to their .Mac (iDisk) under leopard osx 10.5.1?

I purchased .Mac primarily because of the iDisk functionality.

Unfortunately, iDisk syncing in Leopard is horrible. I wish I had discover about the wonderful alternative offered by Amazon (S3 + Jungledisk).

With .Mac I rarely get uploads over 60KB/s, whereas with Amazon and on the same connection I use all my upload bandwidth (340+ KB/s).

In addition, iDisk in Leopard is plagued by serious bugs (as you may find in the Apple support forum).

Long story short: You're not alone.
