That's good to know. I will hold out for the next bundle to have Fusion. Not that I have a preference, I just have a copy of Fusion 1 that I am looking to upgrade.

Keep an eye out for the Macupdate bundles, as I got my mine from that last year. Having said that, Parallels features in so many that VMWare might not bother, especially as it does not autoissue an update each year.

This, and other sites give you some pointers where to look

Is there any good Mac software that records live streaming video, I'm looking one that specifically works with UStream as there is lot of content on there which I don't get time to watch during live streaming. If I can somehow DVR it and watch it later that would be great.

Um - bad programming on their site

I tried to login with Facebook and got this in return:

{
"error": {
"message": "Invalid redirect_uri: Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.",
"type": "OAuthException",
"code": 191
}
}

I hope the bundle is better than their programming.

Suitable alternatives

parallels desktop - dont need it cuz windows sucks
snag it - quicktime (it's built in)
typinator - whats the point of having a keyboard if your too lazy to type
x plan - iCal
jump desktop - logmein free edition
boom for mac - you might need a hearing aid instead
leap - spotlight works just a good to find anything on your mac
color strokes - iPhoto works better
digital photography course - youtube it

Of course Parallels 8 is on sale... As soon as OS Mavericks is released in a couple of months, they will mandate that you purchase Parallels 9. This happens like clockwork.......:mad:

Exactly why I don't use these VM type softwares. As soon as a new OS X comes out, they have theirs come out, and the old version is suddenly not upgradable. It's a scam. The last time I bought a bundle like this, Parallels was included and it was the only software in the pack that was worth a damn.

That would be true except for the fact that the current Version 8 runs fine under Mavericks and the last update to Version 7 (sold when Lion was out) runs fine under Mountain Lion.

So you could be running a nearly two year old Version 7 now and only need to upgrade to Version 9 when Mavericks is released, skipping 8 altogether.
