Me again! It's this same project that is giving me trouble. It seems that the map page I am working on loads fine on Macs, but on Windows, a red x comes up where the image map should be. So, I figure it's a coding issue and try and access just the image (a jpeg) itself; works fine on Mac, error in Windows. It's uploaded to the server and everything, it just won't load. My friends with Macs all see it but on my Windows machine I get the error.

Does anyone know why this might happen?

The link to the map (with the codes) is: http://www.mariahplanet.com/ACR/Popup.htm

The link to just the image is: http://www.mariahplanet.com/ACR/ACR_updatedmap.jpg

Thanks guys!!

actually I get the same errors your describing with firefox as well(on my mac).
Says the image can't be displayed because it's currupt.

Try putting a space between the quote after .jpg and the word "border." (<img src="ACR_updatedmap.jpg"border="0" usemap="#Map">) There should be a space there. I don't know if this will solve the problem, but it may. Safari is usually a lot more forgiving than other browsers about little errors.

Thanks!! That was the problem (I had saved it to CMYK). I feel stupid now...I'm still learning. You guys rock.

I love these threads. It's always the OS platform right, never the code.

I wasn't blaming the OS, just saying that there seemed to be a problem in the file that allowed it only to work on Macs; I originally thought it was the CSS code and I figured a JPEG itself (with no code involved) should work fine if the CSS was the problem. I didn't think the color format. ;) Bear with me, I've had a Mac for 4 months!
