HomePod Mac won't connect but other devices will

Homepod mini works flawlessly with our Apple TV, Ipad and Iphone but my mac won't connect any longer.
It used to work great, now it gives a dash instead of the checkmark when selecting the homepod and then doesn't connect.

Any suggestions? Everything is on the latest software and same network.

reboot your router.

most of the airplay issues I've had have been router related.

I am also having this issue. I've tried through the Music app and through the Mac's sound menu bar icon but no luck. I definitely get the dash in the Music app for both of my sets of HomePod Minis.
